Report
on the 46th AGM of FPTA heald in Hydrabad on
14th, 15th and 16th August 2007 hosted by
4tAndhra Pradesh Merchants' Association,
Hyderabad.
The
conference was heald in Hotel Taj Krishna,
Banjara Hills, Hydrabad a five-star
hotel
The highlights of the conference are as
follows.
The conference inaugurated by Dr. J. Geeta
Reddy Hon'ble Minister for Tourisum, Major
Industries, Government of Andhra Pradesh.

After
Lighting of lamp, cake was cut to mark the
Golden Jublee Year of our Association.
The
attendance of Delegates, Observes and Life
Associate members was to the extent of 586
which is the highest so far achived in any
of the FPTA AGMs. In fact with special
invitees, the attendance crossed the
gigantic 600 mark. Full marks of
appreciation to our Association for
attracting so many participants to the
conference . Maximum number of past
presidents of FPTA attend the Conference.
Maximum number of
affiliated Association i.e., 28 out of 34
attended the Conference which is the highest
so far
Maximum number of
Associations sent in the details of their
Managing Committee to be printed in the
Souvenir. This is also the highest so far
This year, 2
technical sessions were conducted in stead
of 1 all these years. This was a new concept
introduced on the 3rd day of the
Conference during which the 2nd
technical session was held, the attendance
was of record of its sort. This was another
feather in the cap of the host Association

We Celebrated the 60th
Independence Day of India during the
Conference. Flag hoisting was also conducted

LALVANI MEMORIAL AWARD awarded to a Paper
Trader for his outstanding judges. It is the
first time that this Award is received by
our member
Sri Prasad RG,
Chairman of Souvenir Committee received
SHOBHA CARDS ON TIME SOUVENIR PUBLISHING
AWARD for publishing souvenir in time during AGM. It was
released on the first day of the Conference
itself at the hands of the Chief Guest Dr.
J. Geeta Reddy
All the events from
the word go i.e., Inauguration to conclusion
went on as per as planned and as per the
schedule. There was no wastage of time
All the Delegates
appreciated the hospitality extended by our
members right from arrival to departure,
excellent hotel stay, food arrangements and
carried excellent memories along with them
when they were back along with valuable kit
The quality of
Souvenir brought out by Mr. R G Prasad,
Chairman of Souvenir Committee and his team
was par excellence and was for distribution
right on dot He fully deserved the Award
while releasing the Souvenir during the
Inaugural ceremony.
The media coverage of
the Conference was very extensive in leading
news Papers English, Telugu, Hindi, Urdu.
Some of the events were also aired on TV

All kinds of praise
